I am using iiNet's naked DSL.

I am reasonably happy with the service. I particularly like freezone which
enables you to use video streaming for a limited set of sites without
impacting on your download limit.

Use to be AAPT with which I was not that happy with. This has been bought
out by iiNet.

Just checked Westnet, they are now 100% owned by iiNet as well.

I have a Bob modem because my old VOIP ATA was locked and I wanted to use
iiNet's VOIP offering. The BOB modem was the easiest way to do this.

I started with a Bob Lite, but this was faulty. They replaced it without any
additional charges for a full Bob. Mine does not have a phone handset as I
already had a phone that I used with my previous VOIP ATA. You don't have to
get a Bob if you don't want to. When the Bob Lite was not working, their
tech support got me to test connectivity with my old ADSL 2+ modem and that
worked fine.

Subject: [OT] Perth Broadband

Hello folks,

just wanted to get a feel for peoples opinions on braodband providers in the
Perth area. Been looking at iiNet/westnet (I think they are iinet now by the
looks of it), but didn't want to discount any others, like Amnet etc. I used
to be with iiNet a couple of years ago and founfd them to be ok, but since
I've come back from the UK heard a few complaints, particularly about this
BoB router phone they mke you get.

Anyway just thought I'd did into the pool of collective thought for some
feedback.

Cheers,

Steve
