Lol, I remember having 14 inch monitors with lower resolution  ;)  
I'm sure you could cram in more than 480 x 800, but I'm not sure you'd notice 
it that much. At 2 AM this display still looks great to me.  Anyway, if you 
want more pixels you'll have to wait till WP 8.
