Dear Lois & anyone else who may know, How do you go about getting a position with a Community Midwifery Programme? What state do you live in? Do homebirth midwives take on apprentices (if that is the correct term for it). I am a midwife in QLD, & whilst not in a position to start practicing in the community / home, I am interested in what paths you can take to lead you there. I only work casually at the moment, but am very interested in learning more about community midwifery / homebirth midwifery.
