Hello to everyone on the list,
My name is Alphia Garrety, I am a PhD student at the University of Western Sydney within the Department of Sociology and Justice Studies. My area of research interest is the "desire" for medicalization of pregnancy and childbirth. I am currently undertaking interviews with women from 3 different hospitals within the Sydney area, one being a private hospital, the other a tertiary led hospital and the third a midwifery led hospital. As part of my research I am also interested in interviewing midwives or getting them to fill out a questionnaire. If you are interested in my research please write back and we can either set up an interview or I can send you a questionnaire.
