Take along a heap of women who have had VBACs at home (or get testimonies from same women if they can't attend). Make sure you know your statistics.
Alternatively, send a letter of complaint to the College of O&Gs ... simply asking that their members be thoroughly informed on VBAC statistics and provide evidence-based information when discussing VBAC.
There is one woman here in NSW who had a home birth after five C/S. Not one hospital would even consider her for a vaginal birth except KGV but that was far too far for her to travel. So she contracted with an IPM to have her baby at home - agreeing to transfer to the local tertiary hospital if it became necessary.

I'm starting to wonder if it will ever end. I have a client who
transferred after the birth for a breathing problem with buby and now
the Ob's are after my guts for garters. Seems they think I must not
have given my mum enough unbiased info because no sensible woman would
choose a homebirth after a previous C/S if she was given all the info on
the potential risks. Even after the mum told them that she had
researched her topic for two years before she met me and that I had
discussed the risks of rupture etc with her they still insisted that I
may be unsafe supporting women who want to birth at home after a c/s.
For God's sake where can they birth without fear of intervention and the
most likely place for achieving good results is definitely home! My
blood boils. Like you I wonder will it ever stop and given that more
than a third of our population is having C/s it's likely that the women
having had a previous c/s will increase in those seeking homebirth.

CYOTEC??
Hi Jo,
I completely missed this email in the ever increasing amounts of spam in
my
mailbox. Thanks for the info.
I have often looked at the book you mentioned, I'll have to pick it up
next
time I see one cheap (I am a book junkie!)
I'll have to try and find that study.
What the [EMAIL PROTECTED] ?? has become the most common question in my study of
modern
day birthing practices........how did it get like this??? ( maybe when
penises got involved? and no I am not a raging feminist! lol!)
Women feel so safe going to hospital to birth their babies and the more
I
learn the worse it seems. Not that all hospitals are the same, but from
what
I have learnt and read, compared to some hospitals, being out in the
wilderness with no food or water for five days and then birthing your
baby
in a lions den would seem far safer!! At least then you'd have a slight
chance of no damage being done to your baby or body, and the lion would
be
more likely to respect your rights to a natural unhindered experience!
I heard today that a mama-to-be is going to a "reputable" private
hospital
in QLD and at their prenatal classes the educator( if she can be called
that) flipped through pics of positions for active birth in a few
minutes
and then proudly said, ".....you probably won't need to know any of that
anyway, we have a 67% c-section rate and everyone else has epidurals."
WTF??!!
If only they had to spend the next year living in most mothers
shoes.................................
*getting off my soapbox now*
