>>As a doula some of my clients also are wanting homebirths, some of whom are preparing for VBAC's. At this point thought the best they can do is stay home as long as possible. > Regards > Philippa Scott > Birth Buddies
I feel exactly the same way as Philippa. After my c-sec, I can't imagine anything more wonderful than having a homebirth. It would terrify me to go back to a hospital to give birth. I too know lots of women who feel the same. Wouldn't it be great if someone did a small booklet( making it easy to read for obs and their nurses), with stats for home and hospital vbacs and stories/testimonies from women who have had natural, uncomplicated vbacs. I think it is sooo important to get the info out there. From what I have heard, most docs think it is sooo dangerous because of uterine rupture, even having a vbac in hospital. Sometimes you wonder what they learn in med school. Love Abby (P.S. It's been great to hear about all the info sharing programs going on.) -- This mailing list is sponsored by ACE Graphics.
