Hi,

   2.) Perl 5 Enterprise Extensions
+1

   1.) Perl 5 Enterprise Environment
+0

   3.) Perl 5 Enterprise Edition
-1

When we were first discussing the name on [EMAIL PROTECTED],
Nathan volunteered to host the list on perl.org.
The list he set up was "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", and he indicated
that it was for "Perl 5 Enterprise Extensions".

I presume that there is some history to this name that I do
not know. (I understand that various people have talked about
this at many times, including Larry at a State of the Onion,
according to Gunther Birznieks.)

For all these reasons, I think we should go with the name
handed to us by Nathan. (It *is* adequate, we know that
*no* name is going to satisfy all of us, and I could make
a case for either #1 or #2.)

Essentially the "Extensions" name says "these are the things
*beyond* the Perl language itself (i.e. doc, modules, etc.)
which are necessary to build Enterprise Software in Perl."

FWIW,

Stephen

(we don't have voting rules which prevent me from voting
separately for all three yet.) ;-)
