(It *is* adequate, we know that *no* name is going to satisfy all of us, and I could make a case for either #1 or #2.) Essentially the "Extensions" name says "these are the things *beyond* the Perl language itself (i.e. doc, modules, etc.) which are necessary to build Enterprise Software in Perl."
