> 2.) Perl 5 Enterprise Extensions > +1 Ditto. It's already been said that we are selling something; I agree with this. What I think that we're selling here is the credibility of Perl as an enterprise platform. As much as it hurts me to admit it, in spite of its accuracy, "Environment," implies something out of touch and 'geek.' "Environment" seems to sell itself to me as implying a closed world of solutions; a closed environment.
"Edition" - is too inaccurate for my liking. "Enterprise," however really does suggest that P5EE is a set of API's, processes, and standards which 'extend' an already stable, proven and reliable platform (server side Perl solutions), to a level of enhanced suitability and interoperability, so as to be a viable - and still extensible - "Enterprise Platform." It's all BS :), however I think that this is the sort of bs which will be needed in vindicating P5EE. Some how "Environment" doesn't quite cut it for me. Then again, what's in name? My 0.02 Euros and +1 vote. R. -- Rafiq Ismail Software Engineer and Systems Administrator http://www.codix.net "All the best people in life seem to like Linux." - Steve Wozniak
