on yesterday I didn't check well. The DB is there underneath the show tabls:

Anyway it's not a fresh install I run a production server with 4.3.0 version 
and I upgraded it when a new release has come.

I see also an error on the graphite DB, but I haven't it!!
That may be a bit of a problem ;)
Can you list the databases currently present on the server ?
Also, is that a fresh 5.3.0 install ? (I know that you then upgraded to 5.3.1 
but still, was it a fresh 5.3.0) ?

Check /usr/local/pf/logs/httpd.graphite.access and 
/usr/local/pf/logs/httpd.graphite.error.
That might indicate if something is going wrong.Please paste output (link to 
PasteBin is better) so that we can check
