Sorry if this ends up as a dual post. I attempted to post through the
egroups site yesterday and it appears that it never was posted.
I am Cassidy Lackey, President of Mobile Generation Software, developers of
Mobile Account Manager, MobileDB, and many other Palm software titles. I am
mostly a lurker on this list and rarely post (probably less than twice a
year).
Recently, we have been receiving a ton of requests for custom Palm
development, however, due to time constraints we are unable to fulfill the
majority of these requests. Although we know that there are a lot of Palm
developers available to help these potential clients, we assume that other
shareware/commercial Palm developers find themselves in similar situations.
In order to address this "disconnect" and with the hope of further growing
the "Palm Economy," we developed MobileCoders.com that will enable potential
clients to search for Palm developers that are willing to offer their
services for custom handheld development. Clients will be able to search
for Palm developers based on experience, costs, and availability. Keep in
mind that we see a lot of opportunity for the small, part-time developer
that can work just 10-20 hours a week on small custom development projects.
There is no charge to either the developer or the client for this service.
We are currently allowing developers to enter their profile and we hope to
release the site to the general public on 3/1/00. Although we are not yet
open to the public, in the last week we have forwarded two potential clients
to developers listed on the mobilecoders.com site. If you are interested in
