Debugging - BDWM workaround

I am completely unable to debug with Metrowerks CW 3.5.  I have followed the
tutorial instructions line by line, and ALWAYS get the famous "The debug
helper app could not be found.  The registry key "BDWM" is not defined."
error.  Is there any way around this?  (I've tried all of the suggestions
already posted, like restarting and such, but no luck.)
