Anyone from Palm care to comment? There seem to be conflicting views,
especially with respect to Mac users.

I have so far had no problems using the unique IDs for relationships in
a program I'm developing. If you look into the headers you will find out
that 0 is excluded from the Unique IDs, so this can be very useful.
