dont take it too hard :) how many people do you think actually use these
"cracks" or serial numbers posted? do you really think those people
would have paid in any case?

not 100% true.. gieven any .prc file, you can in a matter of minutes
with a few good tools decopmile and get an understanding of the logic
within an application. a good debugger can trap your application at the
right time and present a registration code.. free of charge :)

just accept that they exist.. and get on with what you were doing.
if one site gets closed done.. another two more will appear in its
place.. the hambo guys have been around for a while :))
i was intriged by this stuff, so i put some of my own time into
"investigating" what they did and how i, as a developer could do
something to "fight" the war..

it was passed around just before PalmSource 2000 - i actually had some
interesting discussions with some people in Santa Clara :)
give it a read.. maybe most of the issues you have thought about.
the paper is not there to say "lets fight them" - its there to say..
"hey, i tried this, that.. etc..". download it, maybe some useful
stuff there, but please focus on my conclusions.
