Actually, the data will be redundant accross multiple PDA's and possibly on a PC (another detail I left out). We have a propietary way of syncronizing the data between the PDA's. That way if the user throws PDA in to Pacific Ocean, when he installs our software on his new PDA, we will detect it and automatically re-synch all of the data! How's that for user fool proof! Well, I guess he could throw all of the PDA's from our system in to the pacific ocean, and then we would be in trouble!
As far as the lookup tables are concerned. They can be built from scratch assuming that the indexes on the databases have not changed becuase the lookup tables are not concerned with the relational data, just the records that it is indexing. If the indexes on the database change, then the relationship has died and gone to database heaven and nothing will work right anyway!
