Yeah, we had Flakey Jake's all over when I lived in Orange County, but most of them have gone away. There's another chain called Fuddrucker's that does the same thing servicewise. They're good if you like buffet style burger bars, but I tend to prefer mine in a different style.

Grill the meat the way you like it. Put it on a bun. Point you to the condiments. Boy, what a selection of condiments they had. They opened one in Clovis, but sadly it was closed (permanently) when I discovered it, and tried to go there. The Fatburger we had in town now calls itself "The Colorado Grill". Their Chilidog was good eats the last time I was there. They also have larger hamburgers they make for parties (nine to fifteen pounds I think). But you have to call in advance before they'll make it. --- On Fri, 5/1/09, Paul McCool <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Paul McCool <[email protected]> > Subject: [Papermodels II 36226] Re: OT - I'm not unemployed > To: [email protected] > Date: Friday, May 1, 2009, 3:42 PM > There was a Whataburger in OKC when I lived there but I > never ate there much > because Sonics were more plentiful and had Cherry Limeades. > I used to eat > Whataburgers a lot, though, when I was driving a truck and > got sent to > Chicago, which was about 3 times a month. > > Paul M. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Joy Cohn" <[email protected]> > To: "Paper Models" > <[email protected]> > Sent: Wednesday, April 29, 2009 8:13 PM > Subject: [Papermodels II 36169] Re: OT - I'm not > unemployed > > > > > > I miss Whataburger.
