Mine was a Sonerai I built with a few alterations like clipped wings
and a hotter engine for racing. It was a fun little bird and was like
something from the 1930s heyday of air racing. Even though it looked
more like a "midget mustang" or "Pete" I gave it the markings of Roscoe
Turner's "Gilmore Special". If you can find one they are a great machine
with awesome handling and an interesting performance envelope.

The only other Tail Dragger I owned was a serious piece of insanity, a
fully aerobatic Great Lakes =^-^=
I've had a chance to fly some other tail draggers including a friend's
P47 which was awesome fun.

                                                                cat
