If you get to Washington DC, visit the National Gallery of Art
I saw paintings that I had only seen in books
and the difference between a photo of the art and the actual paintings was mind
boggling!
And see the Smithsonian museums, 19 seperate museums all around Washington DC
with all the best samples of history the World has to offer.

next few months - who's where and and wouldn't mind a visit?

Mandy, you should give us an idea of what you like. Where would you head in
Oz if you had your choice?

The Outback? Definitely do the southwest tour and see the Grand Canyon,
Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, and more ~ and if it's not too far out of the
way, see the Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson. It is breathtaking.

The water? Head down to the gulf, southern California, maybe the great lakes.

Entertainment? Do NOT miss Las Vegas.

Kid stuff? Orlando is the best.

Nature? Yellowstone or any of the other wilderness parks out west.

Cities? New York, LA, Chicago, Washington DC, Seattle.

Small towns? Try 66, or any of the interstates and get off whereever you see
an interesting city name.

History? Well, you'll have to do some research into what you're looking for.
We're not Europe, but we're older than you guys. :D

Government/Monuments/museums? Washington DC is the place to be, although NYC
has a great selection of museums.

I don't know what you like to build, but I'm an air fan and I love the air
museums in Tucson, Seattle, Dayton, and of course DC. And there's the Intrepid
on the west side of Manhattan.

And the greatest concentration of paper modellers in the country is right
here in the DC area. :)
