cde mduduzi, Its a very tricky and complex question you are raising, but unfortunately it warrants a response. The economic policy position of the PAC should be anchored on objective number 3 in the aims and objectives of the PAC which is, the creation of an Africanist Socialist Democratic order.
The economic policy document I know in the PAC is the one developed by Dr Sipho Shabalala titled " Some salient features of the economic policy of the PAC of Azania" of which I am opposed to as it is too liberal and rejects all socialist features founded in the PAC founding documents. On the basis of that document PAC is anti-nationalization and advocates responsible privatization and its comfortable with BEE. This is a position that contradicts PAC position as enshrined in our founding basic document. In my humble view PAC made its position clear from the onset that it seeks to create a socialist society founded on equality of income and equal distribution of wealth. In my view PAC should not be shy to pronounce itself on issues of nationalization as they are founded on the very socialist objectives of the party. For PAC to achieve proper land redistribution it would have no choice but nationalize land and then redistribute accordingly among citizens. Our call for full employment can only be attained under a planned economy as proclaimed by Sobukwe. Food security can only be achieved under an economic system founded on the maximum satisfaction of man's needs as opposed to maximization of profits for few individuals. There's a lot I can say on this issue, but to be precise PAC stands for a creation of a socialist order and therefore in my view PAC economic policy is socialist and pro-nationalisation. I would add further tomorrow. Thanks a million for a mind blowing quiz. Izwe lethu!
