I got the Xitle from http://www.jr.com. I believe it was just under
$50. It is strictly an output device, but at JR and other places, there
is a Xitle device for around the same price that can be used to go the
other way.

I just plugged the Xitle HiFi link in and it did the splitting itself.
It is important to have your speech synthesizer on )not necessarily
talking) then plug the Xitle in and wait for the USB recognition tone
and only then start your media player.

I think that Jaws doesn't relinquish the internal sound card when the
computer recognises the HiFi Link for some reason and it works well.

Good luck!

Hi Clifford,

Where did you get the Xitle and how much did it cost? Does it just do
output, or will it act as an input device? Also, how do you split the
speech output from music output?

Thanks much,
Tim
