Greetings. I'm wanting to be a broadcaster on the web and have ben working my way through the excellent tutorial that Jonathan mosen and Brian Hartgen put out recently for new broadcasters. I'm having some trouble though. First off, I'm not sure where to find some of the needed plug-ins for broadcasting, such as the OctiMax. I've looked on the Winamp site but the only one they have is for an OctiMax put out in 2002, which incidentally isn't compatible with Windows Vista, which is what I'm using. Any ideas? I'm also having an issue where I've installed the Sam Encoder, but it's not showing in the list of plug-ins from within Station Playlist Studio. Any ideas on this?
Any help is greatly appreciated. I've gone over several options and the tutorial a few times in the relevant sections and honestly, I'm getting confused and frustrated as to why I can't get this to work. This is my first time at Net broadcasting and I want to get through this part and move onto putting together a test show for a station. For what it's worth, I believe I only have one sound card, aside from the speakers, headphones, and HD soundcard option on my 2 year old Vista Hoem Premium system.
