Hello there Sam!
I have tried that program out now, it's quite Ok and what I love of this
program, is that you can even tagg your files so that you can play them on
the radio with good title streaming. one thing I don't understand is this,
In the mp3 settings, I saw something called Misc CRC checkbox, what is
that?, another thing I miss is that joint stereo format of stereo, cause I
have compared the Switch sound converter with the meow mmsound converter.
and I think the encoder in switch sounds a little bit better than the meow
programs encoder, but I like the program, and I will work with it more when
I get time to it. another thing I'd like to know is this, I have seen some
buttons which weren't labled at all, even though I did the auto graphic
labeling, smile. I like how the settings worked out pretty well, but there
are that kind of misc things in the mp3 settings tab which I am wondering
about. anyway, I like the program so far.

Jörgen Hansson!

Hey there, Jorgen -
Let me know what you think about that program once you try it out. As I
mentioned yesterday, I find that it is speech friendly and that it has quite
a bit to offer as far as audio is concerned.

Hello!
Go to
http://meow-prod.com.
Here, you can download a program called: meow multi sound converter. You
can convert audio files to different formats, as well as converting from
stereo to mono, or mono to stereo.. I use it all the time, and I find it
to be speech friendly! Hope this will help you.

Hi Joel,
I have only done this for one or two files at a time and have always put
them in the CDEX directory. If you press enter on select
all and then convert it should work. This won't select any of the other
files in the folder, since they are not compressed audio
files.
I agree that putting them there isn't the ideal solution, but I have just
spent some time trying to change it and like you, can't
find how to. Perhaps someone else can say if they have found a way.
Thanks,
Barry Chapman

Barry,
I've tried what you say to do several times. And I can't change the
directory it looks in no matter what I do. It says it's going to look
only
in Program files/DDex etc.
So I put a few .mp3 files in there, but that didn't work and was quite a
hassle.
I feel you may have forgotten part of the instruction? I've changed to
mono
in the settings, and I familiarized myself with the Convert menu, but
it's
stuck on this folder, and zerio items, of course.
Joel, perplexed
Qubit: BTW, I've always found Easy CD etc. so mysteifying with jaws that
I
gave up using it. Can't tab around it worth horse doo-doo, nor arrow, and
it
makes no sense to me. A Canadian fellow who shall go unnamed mocked me
for
asking on the JFW list how to deal with this application, and said it was
easy. Ack.

You can use CDEX to convert a stereo MP3 file to a mono MP3 file and the
program is free. In the configuration encoder settings,
choose mono and the bitrate you want, then from the convert menu choose
re-encode compressed audio file.

Subject: Converting stereo .mp3s to mono
Hi all,
I've lost my hearing in one ear (the left) because of a complicated brain
tumor story. But when I work out, I still prefer to have some rock music
in
one ear bud.
I have a copy of EZ CD/DVD Creator, a fairly recent build, and the
designer
sent me a file he said would merge to two channels for me.
But it involves a file extension that neither I nor my Windows XP Home
has
ever heard of, and I can't run the file and get a list of mono
preferences
for bps rate to appear beneath the stereo output options.
Can anyone help? It's kind of primitive, audio-wise, to go back to mono
like
early Beatles records, but I gotta do it.
Thanks,
Joel
