Hi. You can't convert .RAR files to MP3. .RAR files are a kind of
digital
envelope. It is a compression tool for multiple file types. If you have
say 100 files you want to send to a friend, some might be WAVE, some mp3,
others might be .AVI or Flac etc. The point is you can compress all these
files into one zipped file and in the process it compresses the files to a
smaller over all size making it easier and more convenient to upload. To
compress and then extract the files you need a programme called either
.zip
or 7zip or winrar. Windows XP has a built in basic compression tool as
does
windows 7. Walter.
