Yeah, my main problem seemed to be Comcast pretending they didn't know
anything about how to do this. But this OT. I just wanted to expand on what
you were saying a bit. I do still want and intend to do it though.

The suggestions to use Windows Media Center with a TV tuner seem reasonable
until you do some research on this solution.  Put DirecTV and "Windows Media
Center" in a Google search and read through the results.  You will quickly
see how sighted folks have struggled with various combinations of hardware
and software to make this work.  The accessibility of some of this software
may also be a problem.  I have DirecTV, but I don't consider trying to make
it work with Media Center worth the effort.
