Replay Radio 9 uses terms as Direct Download and Record Audio. When you add a station or show from the media guide via the add+ link you are shown a schedule dialog with the best presets for your station or show for the best possible recording method. If you tab a few times you will hear the capture: combo box / drop down. In this capture: control you will hear either Direct Download or Record Audio.
If they are 'Direct Download' in the Capture: control then Replay Radio 9 is not affected. You can record your entry using Windows 8. Replay Radio 9 works with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 too.
