Hi Bill,

Did you get this working?

The error that you are seeing is usually due to an incorrect username/password combination. You can obviously verify this quite quickly by logging into SunSolve with the username/password via a web browser. The other alternative is that it may be related to wget access issues due to a change of contract, which should be resolved within 48 hours (or 48 hours after you first try a wget patch download if you are registered in the Members Support Center).

If you are still experiencing problems, let me know and I'll see if I can help.

Best,
-Don

Martin,

No curl on these systems. If there is a proxy, then it is performed at the
network level. The clients don't specify a proxy.

Thanks,
Bill

As another test of your account you could try downloading with curl. If it
works then your account is functioning and you have some other configuration
issue, possibly involving a proxy (that was the issue I ran into). If it
doesn't work, then the curl.log file may have debug info that you did not get
with wget.

curl --trace-ascii curl.log -k -u username:passwd -x http://proxy_url:proxy_port/ -o
142491-01.jar -L --location-trusted -G
"https://sunsolve.sun.com/pdownload.do?target=142491-01&method=hs";
