The topic originator lives in Italy, I believe, and was looking for something
that wouldn't break the bank. From the prices he quoted, PCI Macs are
considerably more expensive there than in the U.S. (In most cases anyway--this
one shop in a town near where I live wants $250 for a plain-jane 7200/90! Don't
ask what they want for one of those ghastly blue-green g3 minitowers.)

As a 9600 owner, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. And the 8600/9600 has the
best case to date, IMHO. Especially if you don't want something that looks like
it suffers from radiation poisoning.  ;)
