I find that ethernet cables are sensitive to sharp bends, also the plug/sockets must be loose and not twisted in angelled position. our cable provider teaches us to turn off the modem, wait a while 1-10 min. and then plug in the modems powerchord and restart the mac, it's get woodoish, when the support tells you to jerk out the cable connection chord aswell and then start the modem and the computer and then with everything running you insert the cable connections cable end again... It has to do with corrupted IP numbers that needs to be flushed out from the modems shortmemory. That's what they say ! kenta
