I don't know exactly how to solve your problem, but I can tell you
that you've got a 32-bit system. (Every system since the Mac II that wasn't
a compact mac has been 32-bit) This is gonna sound biased and Macy, but do
you have any Microsoft software installed? I had similar problems, and
worse, while having Microsoft Works 3.0 and Internet explorer 4.5/5.1
installed on my PowerMac 7300/180, which is also a 604e.
