Whoa there. Nothing to do with your connection, it may be your machine
trying to cope with some unnecessary baggage in the OE files. Before doing
anything dramatic, tell us what have you got on your OE by way of messages
stored? Have you compacted the database etc? Everytime you delete a message
and generally mess about, spaces are left in files taking up unnecessary
room, it is a good idea to be rid of these spaces (think of how more
efficient a defragmented disk is to its opposite). Anyway, before double
clicking the OE icon, hold the option key down and just say yes to
everything. If you have a lot of stuff, the clean up will take a while - the
longer it takes, the more good it is doing! It is worth it. Try this first
and - by the way - even BEFORE this, why not remove as many messages that
you are not likely to look at again in a hurry, put them in a folder on your
hard disk (create new folder, select messages from OE and drag). Make it as
lean as possible, naturally.
