I'm fixing some PM AIOs, 5400 and 5500. They need RAM. On eBay there are sellers who say their RAM works with 7200, 7500, 7600, 5400, and 5500. There are others who say their RAM works with 7xxx but not 5400 and 5500. Looking at the Low End Mac pages concerning these Macs, I see the 5500 can take EDO RAM and requires a minimum RAM speed of 60. Whereas a 7600 does not say it can take EDO RAM and requires a minimum RAM speed of 70. From all of this it appears that the DIMMs are the same shape but different enough to require positive identification to assure function. So how does one identify the RAM DIMMs needed for different types of PMs?
Thanks to all,
Anand
