This question goes out to any and all:
I replaced the PRAM battery in my 8600/300 and all is fine. But now as it starts the boot process, it makes a sound like breaking glass and then boots fine. This is a sound I would attribute to a possible crash (with the bomb icon or sad Mac face). But it doesn't crash or bomb (never has since I've owned it), it just continues on normally and is fine.
I guess I shouldn't complain; the machine works great and runs flawlessly and nothing is different after the battery change except the goofball sound as it boots.
Anybody have a line on this?
Thanks in advance,
Cobey
