I successfully got back to OS 9.1 and reinstalled the core OS. At least now, when I quit out of PowerRIP I don't get the Error 10 alert anymore. But, of course, the program still doesn't quit correctly.
I am also noticing that during startup, when the extension icons are loading, the ATI Graphics Accelerator has a big red X over it -- meaning that it isn't loading, I assume. However, it is still checked in the Extensions Manager. Might this have anything to do with the quitting problem? Is it something that can be upgraded easily? Will it be fixed if I go back to the OS9 Helper/OS 9.2.2 installation?

Extension conflict?
Try the trick suggested here a few weeks back.
Go into the extension folder and put a space in front of the ATI extension. This should move it to the top of the list so it will load earlier.
Let us know if if works then.
