I tried that and it still loaded with a red X. The extension is named "ATI Graphics Accelerator"-- part of Mac OS CPU software 3.3. Now, whenever stuff is labeled "OS" or "CPU" I get a little shy about messing with it. I decided to disable my Twin Turbo Accelerator 4.06.104 which is named "9600 Graphics Accelerator" (and which I found out is unnecessary unless you have the original one-port IMS tt128 card) to see if THAT made a difference -- but no. The ATI GA still loaded with an X. But there was no noticeable difference in screen response. So I disabled the ATI GA too. No problem so far. I'm not seeing any difference in performance. So, is something else handling the video board (IMS tt128mb8 2-port)? None of this has had any effect on the PowerRIP still not quitting properly. So I'll ask about that in a new thread.
