Virex anti-virus software requires a Macintosh running Mac OS X v10.2.6 or higher. A .Mac membership is required to download the Virex application and any subsequent updates.
Hardware Requirements: Your Macintosh must have a G3 processor of 300mhz or higher, and at least 12MB of free disk space.
Virex Updates
After downloading and installing Virex 7.5 for Mac OS X, activate eUpdate to update Virus Definitions (DAT) files automatically.
Activating eUpdates: Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu. Click .Mac and make sure your .Mac member name and password are entered correctly. Open Preferences in Virex and make sure eUpdate is checked. Every time you login to your computer, when Virex is launched, it will inform you of available updates.
