Find the modem script that you are using (Extensions/Modem Scripts). Make a copy of it!
Use a text editor such as BBEdit to edit the copy and add L1 to the line of startup modem commands. Here is a cut and paste of the appropriate part of my script for another modem. Notice the L1 in the write command. @LABEL 3 ! ! Setup the modem for the following: ! &F Reset to factory settings ! E0 Echo off (default) ! W1 Verbose responses and compression/protocol results ! (CONNECT returns DCE speed) ! L1 Low volume (default) ! matchclr matchstr 1 4 "OK\13\10" matchstr 2 101 "ERROR\13\10" write "AT&FE0W1L1\13" matchread 30 I think that L0 turns the volume off completely. Save the updated modem script. Be careful that your text editor saves the file with the correct creator and filetype. Go to Modem control panel and choose your updated modem script. > > How do I turn down the volume on a Global Village K65 Flex modem?
