The 5500 is an all-in-one... The monitor IS the computer.  I was hoping
that there was a way to 'sleep' the monitor while allowing the computer
to remain processing.  A screen saver such as AfterDark will vary the
display, but I was hoping to actually turn off the display.

i'm not familiar with the 5500 or your monitor. But if you have 
speakers plugged into the external sound port just switch the monitor 
" off ".
