"Blackwatch" and "Mac" were all it took for Google to get me there...
Nice utility! Still has the screen powered, but at least it is more
entertaining. I guess the old world Mac all-in-one just doesn't have
the capability to turn power off to the screen and leave the motherboard
powered... Maybe I'll reload the Quadra for my internet radio app and
use the 5500 for everything else. I was able to get my PC to do
filesharing with the Mac for video burning.

Thanks everyone for the help!

You could use Black Watch, a free utility that is nice and easy to
operate, configurable a bit and so on... I just tested it with a QT
movie playing. The sound came thru fine... It is a smallish (600K)
download. If you can't find it after the following clues, I can send it
to you off list...

"BlackWatch
A simple Macintosh screen saver.
Version 1.5.5
C 1996-2000 Ken McLeod ([EMAIL PROTECTED]).
