Oh. Ok then that would explain the claim of it being a 604e then. :)
What I am curious about is that everymac says the PowerCenter is a
44MHz bus machine. How does the daughtercard get 60MHZ then?
----------
Processor daughtercard sets bus speed; motherboard architecture determines how high a bus speed it will tolerate. The 604/132 uses 44 MHz bus and 3x multiplier, but the motherboard will tolerate much higher settings. PCC's Catalyst-based boards (PowerCurve and PowerCenter/Pro) are famous for accepting 60 MHz (or higher!) bus speeds.

Lucky huh?
----------
You bet. Power Computing's 604e/240 systems were the equal (or better, IMHO) of any other Power Mac of their day. The only possible exception would be the 350 MHz Mach V 9600 and I think it would probably be a neck-and-neck race in most functions, especially if your 240 has a full 1 MB cache.

It seems this is some sooper sekrit data as nobody seems to have the
manual archived anywhere. :/
----------
Sooper dooper sekrit, I'm afraid :-(
But hey, you already have the MaxPowr running at its highest setting - so do a little dance!

Nifty.
Thanks for all the info. ---------- Enjoy.
