Listers,

I'm transitioning from Compuserve to fastermac.net for my ISP. Lately,
though, it seems I'm having itermitent problems with both! Just a few
minutes ago, when I tried for the nth time to connect to Compuserve, I got
a message that my name and/or password was incorrect. I went to the
preferences where this info is kept, and everything looked OK. Just in
case, I deleted and reentered my name and password. Restarted, and the
connection worked. Several days ago, while troubleshooting some connection
problems with fastermac.net, they asked me to delete and reenter my name
and password info in my TCP/IP setup. Coincidence?

So, is it possible that something is corrupting the username and password
saved in my preferences/control panels?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

Bob
