It can't hurt to re-seat ALL cards, including RAM sticks.

Also, I think there's a way to reset the motherboard as well, which is
different from pressing the CUDA switch button. I think it involves
Removing the clock battery and disconnecting all power cables from the
motherboard.

There's a website out there that has all/most of Mac repair-troubleshooting
PDF docs made by Apple...
