That's another weakness of classic Mac OS (Mac OS 9.2 and lower)... If you
had Mac OS X, you could "ls" from the command line to get a list of files.

Ironically  all of this  file moving is in order to;

A; Install a bigger drive in my web connected machine. Since surfing requires an ever increasing space for email and page generated excess crap.

B. To clear off a smaller drive to experiment with installing X with Xpostfacto

But before I get to B. I may well need the lists to find things. I just thought there was some slick way to do this in OS 9.

FileDeamon gives me the info I need but printing it does not work well.
