Anthony Many sites seem to be "graduating" these days to "supporting" only the latest browsers, which doesn't include IE 5.x on the Mac (or on Win, apparently, either). Sbcglobal.com has a message on their portal page stating portentiously that IE 5 is too old & 1 should consider upgrading. IE & NS 4.x don't work at all there; their JavaScript is too old. As was suggested, iCab might be an answer to your problems, but their Style Sheet treatment are not up to today's standards yet. I have run the fairly bug-free WaMCom Mozilla 1.3.1 successfully on a 6500, cousin to your 5500, but the performance is, shall we say, lackluster. Opera 6 is another possibility. In a way all this is good, because a lot of nonstandard, mostly M$-proprietary code out on the Web is going to be re-written. But it leaves older machines & OSes out in the cold. -- Bill Art page: <http://geocities.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
