Anyway, If I understand correctly you have a " Yikes" ( native G4 PCI video) Mac. And deduce that because it play DVDs without a hiccup that is truly the case.
That would mean your lurking has beed for little if naught. As this list is for "legacy PowerMacs " that are 603-604 based machines with PCI slots. And includes those with CPU daughtercard upgrades.
Although some here may be able to answer your questions you qwould be better served on the LEM "G" list.
Besides if the nannies get a load of us responding onlist for a native G4 on PCI list bandwidth they can get crabby.
Otherwise welcome, And perhaps you might like a nice 9600 as a server peripheral to go with the G4?
