I was blagging what information I had off of the LEM specs page. According
to what they have there, the 7200 and 7500 had the same release date (August
8th, 1995)...but different speeds/prices (7200/75MHz/$1,600)
(7200/90MHz/$2,100) (7500/100MHz/$2800):

Got it. Now it all comes together.

What started all this is a posting I saw on a site that said Macs from the
original iMac of 1998 onward are equipped with a DSL compatible 10/100 Port.

They made it sound like it was useless to consider hooking up an older Mac
to a DSL connection. While the port on, say, a 9600 is slower, (10Base-T
vs. 10/100Base-T) that doesn't mean you can't use it.

And I was curious about the AAUI port/transceiver because things that dangle
from boxes don't seem to survive along with the machine when it gets handed
down. So I was trying to get an idea of how far back you could go and have
a Mac be DSL-ready without having to necessarily add anything to it.

Best,

James Fraser
