The impression I got from the paper work is that the
power cables would be needed for a dual processor
which I don't have;mine is a single processor.I had
the computer on for an hour and there seems to be
adverse effects so far. Anyway I fired off an email to
Xlr8 and should hear from them on Monday.

I assume you mean " no adverse effects".
If it gets too hot in there it will just stop operating temporarily.
Only with consistent and repeated intense use and heat like 3D Ray
tracing or other heavy use would a terminal condition be encountered
IMHO
But the first 30 days use on any solid state device are the most failure prone.
