XLR8 did get back to me. They said the cables are
for the fan. I have to plug it in one of the dangling,
free, power cables. The problem now is that all the
free connections are in the part of the case that
flips over after the case is opened (Power Mac 9600
case). I'm afraid that if I connect the cable I may
inadvertently snap it while flipping the second
portion of the case over. Is there something like an
extension cable that will extend one of the power
cables such that even if the second part of the case
is flipped over there is no danger of the fan cable
snapping. Sorry for the wordiness and length of the
post.

Hard to say without seeing the connectors. But my guess is your needed wire has standard ends. I would try an electronics supplier. Either locally or online. And if no where else there is an outside chance Radio Shack has one.

If not, it should not be to hard to rig up a homemade extension.
