Greetings Listers, I just installed (on 6/29) the new Powerlogix "Powerforce G3/1ghz" upgrade in my 9600/350 (776MB) running OS 9.1 (yes, still :-) with, thus far, very good results. NO installation issues, truly plug and play . . . and NO stability issues...beyond my usual. I've been running it at 950 Mhz, though had it set at 1ghz previously...mostly just by way of comparison. Pretty subtle difference, in general use. Overall, I'm loving it.
I'd be very interested to compare notes with someone else who has done the same upgrade, esp. in regards to idiosyncracies of the CPU Director software. I emailed Powerlogix tech support with a few general questions about said software and received astonishingly curt/minimal replies...with no REAL answers to my questions!
