Speaking of "networking" computers together, I am in the process of connecting my 6500 tower with all it contains to a G3 "Bondi Blue" that a former student (I keep foreign students for local colleges) gave me. I've maxed out the upgrades on it, it has a really great monitor, etc.) I bought a KVM switch to connect both computers to the monitor & just push the buttons to switch from one to the other. It will use my new mouse & keyboard & run the OS 9.1 in the "Classic Environment", or at least that's the way it's supposed to work. Any warnings or words of wisdom from you folks? I wanted to just keep them as is, but with the Wireless modem, the Belkin adapter won't seem to work right with the Macs, although it says it is Mac compatible. Even calls to Belkin do not seem to resolve the problem. The G3 does not have a slot for a wireless card.

Also, if a software program does not say specifically that it is compatible with OS 10+ (just says something like OS 8.6 & higher) does anyone know if it is "installable" on the G3 running the OS 10.3 (also will run Classic OS 9.+). I have some programs on the 6500 that I do not want to give up. (That is why I came up with the idea of running both towers off the new monitor because my 6500 monitor was small & old & had a "burned" section on it. Not bad, but yellowed.

Sorry, List Nanny, if this is a "mixed bag", but please help out an old timer here (Be 82 in Feb.) who is trying to still use her beloved 6500 but utilize the G3 monitor, etc., too. I like the G3 as it is faster, but still prefer a lot about the OS 9.1 on the 6500.
