If you want to do the mental exercise of trying to track down an extension problem, go ahead and try and figure it out. If you are concerned about OS 9 virii, spyware or worms, don't worry. There are none in the wild so using McAfee on an OS 9 Mac is like paying for a magic charm to prevent you from being attacked by a marauding elephant herd in Canada. Len -- I think my thread earlier this year when the point was proven on this list and the Powerbook list that no one has seen a viable virus for OS 8-9.x since the early nineties. I have been warned by PC users about worms and Trojans but don't worry about those much either. If anyone has anything new to add feel free but please cite specifics and produce copies of the virus for study. I'm tired of hearing about fables and phantoms.
