Anyone with experience with audio cards in a PPC 9500 or other similar family PPC?

My M-Audio 2496 acts up, especially when used in conjunction with another Master PCI card (one that sort of controls the bus it's on, as my understanding goes: e.g., an ATA/100 PCI card or possibly my newly installed ATTO SCSI PSC card).

First problem is that I have to use an early version of the M-Audio driver ... v 1.2.1 (they're up to 2.0.5 now).

I'm running OS X 10.3.9 on my PowerPC 9500, with the help of XPostfacto 4 ... Get a kernel panic at startup if I use anything above 1.2.1 of the M-Audio driver installation. They don't support legacy Macs, so I'm asking you guys and gals of the PCI Macs forum.

My system freezes, sometimes, and I believe its because of a conflict with the audio drivers. It would do so quite predictably when I tried to use a Sonnet ATA/100 controller, and now I have an ATTO SCSI PSC controller, and was hoping for a different result using scsi drives versus ata's.

It seems to be working better, somewhat ...

Any comments on where to look for additional expertise? I've posted on XPF and Macfixit forums.

Any experience out there?
